The Vanguard Method

Vanguard is a method of system thinking for service organizations. So, before we start talking about it, we must understand & apprehend the concept of system.

What does it mean “System” ?

A system is a set of interacting or interdependent components forming an integrated whole.

& what is a system thinking ?

It is a way to understand how things worked, regarded as a whole. System thinking looks at the organization from the customer’s perspective which helps to improve the quality and customize changes, and it’s essential to understand that a change on a component affects the others within, in other terms, that alters the system.

Vanguard Method

Vanguard method is one of the methods of system thinking, has been defined as an approach to problem solving, by viewing "problems" as parts of an overall system, rather than reacting to specific part, and it brings two things:

1. Systems principles - action based on knowledge leads to improved operations.

2. Intervention theory – improvement developed through different thinking.
